One of the unspoken truths regarding cosmetic procedures is that the "Art" of building teeth with composites begins with an innate talent. A dentist can go to school for 20 years and if the talent is not there, he/she will never be able to build an esthetic tooth. A dentist can have an album full of beautifully done crowns and veneers, but those crowns and veneers are done by a laboratory technician gifted in the art of esthetics.  Too often we see what should have been a simple esthetic restoration done by placing a very invasive crown, which is a reflection of either the dentist's lack of skill, or padding the procedure for more money, or both.
